KAMBU HEALTH PATIENT/CLIENT HEALTH SERVICE ELIGIBILITY
Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health, is a community-controlled health service, developed by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
Not all services are able to be provided indefinitely to everyone. For some of our services, we have to apply “eligibility criteria” or conditions, either because one (1) there are Medicare requirements that limit access to specific services; two (2) there are conditions applied by the government to services which they fund us to provide through special grants; or three (3) we are paying for the services ourselves with no government or Medicare funding and we need to prioritise access for those who are most in need.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask our staff to explain these services and to clarify which ones you and your family are able to access at Kambu Health. If you or a family member do not meet the eligibility criteria for a particular service, we can assist you to find the type of service you need outside of Kambu Health.
