and our partnered allied health and specialists.

Yes, Kambu Health provides transportation to regular clients who require transportation to and from their medical appointments at Kambu Health Ipswich Clinic, Hospital, and our partnered allied health and specialists.
Kambu Health Transportation provides safe and timely transport for clients to access comprehensive health care services that would otherwise be restricted due to lack of ability or general transport limitations.
Ipswich Clinic transport services operate: 7.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday
Transportation Services do not provide transport on weekends and/or Public Holidays.
Kambu Health provides transport services for registered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, individuals, partners, children, and their carers.
Transport services will be provided to patients based on need and priority. Need and priority is determined using the eligibility criteria as a guideline:
• Elderly, frail
• People with a disability
• Pregnant women
• Families with children
• Very unwell
In every instance of a very unwell patient, a medical professional is to triage and determine if an ambulance is to be called and/or a home visit enacted.
To access the transportation services, it is recommended to book your transportation service as soon as you have a confirmed medical appointment at a Kambu Health Ipwich Clinic.
Alternatively, if your circumstances have changed you can contact the Kambu Health Ipswich Clinic where your appointment is scheduled and inform them of your transportation needs.
They will guide you through the process and provide further assistance.
To assist with driver scheduling, cut-off times for bookings are as follows:
• Clinic transport – request must be made at time of booking appointment and cannot be on the day
• Hospital and Specialist Transport five (5) working days prior to transport.

No, Kambu Health Transportation Services is provided free of charge to eligible patients.
Yes, you can bring a support person or caregiver with you during the transportation, depending on the availability and capacity of the transportation service.
It is important you inform the clinic when scheduling your transportation needs.
Kambu Health Transportation Services utilize a range of vehicles, including cars, vans, or buses, depending on the number of passengers and mobility requirements.
Yes, Kambu Health strives to provide accessible transportation options for individuals with mobility challenges.
Please inform the clinic of any specific requirements when scheduling your transportation.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your transportation service, please contact the Kambu Health Ipswich Clinic as soon as possible.
It is important to provide notice to allow for scheduling adjustments and to assist other patients who may require transportation.
Yes, a member of the Transportation team will contact you the day prior to confirm your booking.
If the appointment is not able to be confirmed by 4:30pm (that is you do not respond to the call to confirm) the day prior, the appointment will be cancelled.
Kambu Health Transportation Services is NOT responsible if you miss your appointment because you failed to respond to the call and/or cancel your appointment.
If you miss three (3) transports or fail to provide sufficient notice, you will be suspended from transport services for six (6) months.
