Our Philosophy:
Our Kindergarten warmly welcomes all families while proudly celebrating, recognising, and honouring the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and culture at the heart of our service.
We aim to create an environment that fosters a sense of belonging, cultural pride, and respect for all children. Our curriculum incorporates Indigenous perspectives, languages, and traditions, enabling children to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse world we live in.

Our Approach:
Our Kindergarten follows a child-centred approach to early childhood education, where each child's unique strengths, interests, and needs are recognized and nurtured. Our dedicated team of Kindergarten educators are passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that promote holistic development across physical, emotional, social, and cognitive domains.

Indigenous Cultural Connections:
At our Kindergarten we believe that connecting children with their cultural roots is essential for their identity development and overall well-being. We provide opportunities for children to engage with local Indigenous communities, Elders, and cultural experts, who share their stories, traditions, and knowledge with the children. Through dance, art, storytelling, and music, we help children develop a deep appreciation for Indigenous cultures.

Language and Communication:
We recognize the importance of language as a vehicle for cultural expression and connection. Our educators are committed to incorporating Indigenous languages and promoting language revitalization efforts. We encourage children to explore language and provide resources and support for families to maintain and develop language skills.

Community Engagement:
We believe that strong partnerships with families and the broader community are crucial for a child's learning journey. We actively engage parents and caregivers in their child's education, involving them in decision-making processes and fostering a collaborative approach. We also seek community input and involvement to create a shared sense of ownership and pride in Amaroo Early Learning and Development Centre.
We value strong connections with families and the wider community. We encourage parental involvement and promote community engagement, creating a supportive network for children and their parents, carers, and extended families.

Inclusive Environment:
At our Kindergarten we celebrate diversity and actively create an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and respected. We promote understanding, empathy, and kindness through anti-bias practices, encouraging children to embrace differences and build meaningful relationships with their peers.

Enrolment in our Kindergarten is open to all families who share our vision of an inclusive and culturally diverse early learning environment.
