National Reconciliation Week

This week we pause to reflect, learn, and recommit to reconciliation.

Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians. It is not a destination, but an ongoing journey. Generations have fought hard for meaningful change, and that work is far from over.

Reconciliation is built on 5 fundamental ideas:

  • Positive relationships built on trust and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians

  • Equality and equity and the collective respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples rights and cultures

  • Historical acceptance of our nation’s history

  • Institutional integrity where our political, business, and community institutions support reconciliation

  • Unity

There are many ways to get involved:

  • Connect with your local reconciliation network

  • Amplify Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices

  • Look into starting a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in your workplace.

This National Reconciliation Week, we honour the past, celebrate how far we have come, and keep walking forward together.

By creativity and by offering ideas that go beyond traditional football references. A clever movie-inspired name can instantly connect with league members who understand the reference. A gaming-inspired name can Kenneth Walker Fantasy Names a user's can understand it, relate it and love it. By the way nice post
