Tia Leask

Tia Leask

Assistant Director, Kambu Amaroo Long Day Care Centre and Kindergarten Program

I am Tia Leask, a proud mother of four (4) children who have now transitioned into their journeys of adulthood and taken flight from the nest.

I began my childcare journey in 2013, exploring the varying pedagogies and practices of RIE, Regio Emilia, and Maria Montessori whilst working in varied roles as educator, Lead educator, Assistant Director, Educational Leader, and Director.

Throughout my career, I have cherished the opportunity to form meaningful bonds whilst engaging in fun and learning with children of many ages and abilities.

I love the inspiration and passion that the children invoke within me and their peers through their laughter, smiles and enthusiasm. I enjoy the challenge of extending upon this enthusiasm and mentoring others to promote children's abilities to learn creatively within magical environments, capturing their curiosity, wonder, and awe.

I look forward to forming strong bonds with your child and further guiding educators in strengthening their bonds and connections through intimate care, strengthening your child's abilities as they play and learn.

I believe in the importance of involving families in their child's learning and care, and I plan to do this through ongoing communication, sharing of observations and insights, and collaborative planning.

I look forward to a future of engaging in respectful, playful, and meaningful interactions with both your child and your family.
