Indigenous Trail Walk- Land Country
You’re invited to join us on a special trail walk where we explore land country through the eyes of Jarjums in celebration of Indigenous Literacy Day. Land Country shows us stories that guide, protect and connect us.
We will explore:
Animals and tracks
Trees and Bushfoods
Caring for Country
We will also have special guest authors Aunty Rhonda and Jacki with us for a special reading of their story “Old Nana Quokka.”
This special day will encourage early literacy skills, caring for Country, and cultural respect.
Please make sure each child brings:
A hat
Sunscreen
Walking Shoes
Water Bottle
Light refreshments will be provided.

Time: 9:30am-11:30am
Location: Ipswich Children and Family Centre, 85 Lobb St, Churchill
Who: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children aged 0-5 years and their parents/carers
