NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony in Gatton
National NAIDOC Week is a time for all Australians to celebrate and acknowledge the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Join us as we commemorate 50 Years of Deadly with an official ceremony raising the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Australian flags.
We will begin the morning at Lake Apex Park in Gatton at 10:30am where our Family Wellbeing Service team will be providing entertainment and games to get the day started.
The flag raising ceremony will take place at 11:00am at the Cultural Centre in Gatton, which is a short 200 meter walk from Lake Apex Park.
The rest of the morning will include face painting, games, and a free BBQ for attendees.
This event is in partnership with Lockyer Valley Regional Council.
Everyone is welcome.
