In January 2021, Simone Jackson, proud Kamilaroi woman stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health (Kambu Health) to lead the organisation through a period of significant growth and transformation. Simone brings over 25 years of experience in Government.
Simone has dedicated her expertise to human services, with a particular focus on Aboriginal Affairs and Child Protection. Committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Under her leadership, Kambu Health designs and delivers culturally safe, community-led services with respect, commitment, and a strong emphasis on prevention and disease management.
Her vision is encapsulated in Kambu Health’s core mission: “Our People, Our Community, Our Health, Our Way.”
In addition to her role at Kambu Health, Simone holds several key leadership positions: Deputy Chair of the Child Death Review Board, Member of the Queensland Parole Board, and Board Member Thriving Queensland Kids Partnerships.
Through her strategic leadership and passion for community empowerment, Simone is driving meaningful change in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, ensuring that Kambu Health remains a trusted and culturally strong healthcare provider for generations to come.
